Last night I saw the new Napster adds where they offer their collection for 15 dollars a month, okay this might sound good but first you are leasing the songs you don't own them unlike iTunes, when your subscription ends so does the music....anything you downloaded is gone bye-bye. Granted on iTunes you need to burn the CD to transfer them to someone but you own the CD, you own the music and there is no end to the music.....friggin people. I am mad cause there are people out there that are going to buy some crappy MP3 player just cause Napster reeled them in, it sucks. Anyone who questions the benefits of an iPod I can give you about a dozen people or more that will sing its high praises as well as the praises of iTunes......napster go to hell,..... also you need to use Windows which makes it all the worse.

Today's win over the Yankees broke about a half a dozen records ... mostly involving a MLB team never winning the Championship Series being 3 games down..... but now we are GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES and we did it winning four in a row from the Yankees.

In this segment of WTF we cover the wonderful and funny Peacekeeper War. I thought it was good, it could have been better but hey it was only four hours long and well worth the wait. The wit, the comaraderie and the action was all there. Some of my favorite lines were:

"Who's taking fire?"
"I am from the Electric Mayhem"

"Time..."
"Bandits"

...of coruse there was more but its early and I can't remember.

And now onto the history making Red Sox. ..... can they come back and be the first team in baseball history to win a 7 game ALCS after falling 3-0, I hope so and then maybe those Yankee fans will shut the hell up for a litle while. Even if we lose tonight.... damage done.

Whether or not you like REM you have to give them props for what they have accomplished but once again it seems that the US prefers songs about Bling and vaccous blondes ..... the new REMalbum is number one in six foreign countries and in the top ten in five others..... Granted they are never gonna do an album like Life's Rich Pageant or Murmur the new album is really really good. 'nuff said

Subject:two shows I think I'll watch
Security:Public

tonight as the red sox got beat up for game 1 of the ALCS I flipped through the channels and fell on what I believe was NBC... as a matter of fact I think it was cause I saw a comercial for West Wing, Alan Alda and Jimmy Smitts are in it this season. How about President Benjamin 'Hawkeye' Pierce.. hehehe. Anywho I watched Father of the Pride the animated show with John Goodman as one of the lions in the Siegfred and Roy show ... I finds it amusing for nothing more then some of the lines like when John Goodman's character was arguing with a pig he said, "Your people killed Mama Cass" its obscure but really funny. The other show I wound up watching was Scrubs with [insert drool] Heather Graham. It was really funny. Anyone know if the main characters brother is Ed from the show of the same name.

Anyone who appreciates goodf British humor ie Red Dwarf, Hitchhikers should read Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.....I say he's what Douglas Adams would have been if he wrote fantasy instead of scifi.

I got some bad news yesterday, my grandmother passed away. But, the good news is that I love my new job, its great, its exactly what I wanted out of a job. Really friendly people and books and books. Also I learned that my store sells DVDs, we have five copies of Big Trouble and I made a pact that I will sell all of them. I feel like I'm in High Fidelity.

Subject:Hope for TV
Security:Public

Is there hope for prime time TV? I jsut saw the premiere of Lost staring Merry, Charlie from Party of 5 and psuedo-Batman from Smallville. Amyways I thought it was excellent. Maybe Abrams can't write a Superman script but he sure can write engaging television. In the days of relaity shows and OC and 90210 clones Lost is amazing. I think its going to a really really good show. I am also going to start watching Alias and see how that is.
